The wet areas of the amazon jungle in Peru is the home of the extraordinary Aguaje Palm – The Tree of Life. It is a slow-growing, dioecious palm around 35 m tall (110 ft), with light gray bark that can be peeled to make rope. The Aguaje fruit is covered in brown, shiny scales. Underneath the scales is vibrant yellow flesh and a hard nut at the centre. The Aguaje may be a strange looking but don't let its appearance deceive you because it's incredibly delicious.
For healthy skin, hair and nail
With a decent amount of Vitamin A and E, Aguaje helps promote healthier skin and helps with acne, wrinkles and dry skin. When our body age, it may no longer be able to effectively make collagen. Aguaje helps increase collagen production. This makes our skin look and feel youthful, and keeps our hair thick and lustrous. It is also the naturally-occurring protein found in muscles and other connective tissues and it gives tensile strength and elasticity to vital organs like the heart, reproductive organs, lungs, liver and kidneys.
Supports women's health and well-being
Menopause is a difficult time in every woman's life. The body stops making estrogen and this may lead to mood swings, weight gain, hot flashes and even affect bone health. Aguaje supplement contains phytoestrogens that are natural chemicals within plants. Studies suggest this aid in reducing hot flashes, mood swings and increase libido. When consumed as part of a healthy diet, Aguaje is helpful for women looking to rebalance their hormonal levels during and even after menopause.
Supports healthy vision
Aguaje may have more than 5 times the amount of vitamin A (beta-carotene) as compared to carrots and spinach. It is therefore especially useful in protecting against night blindness and age-related decline of the vision.
